To whom it may concerns,
I'm not sure if this will do anything good for us but now that I have seen others having the same trouble, I hope this will help other couples later.
We had a wedding at OLQA and Kathleen was assigned as our coordinator. Along the way, she did do our duties as her job descriptions, but she made us feel like we owe her something even though we did pay to have a wedding there. Probably it was just her personality but this is unacceptable.
She gave us attitudes ever since we met her until the wedding was done. No smile was even given. She was very bossy and pushy. She kept going around and yelling at people, especially those who didn't speak English. She even asked if anyone could speak English out loud even though most of the people there could. (we had a few international guests who couldn't)
These are not my words but so many of the audience that day said they were racially discriminated, verbally abused and she almost destroyed our wedding. The other lady (her name was Masha or something) was a little bit better but almost the same as Kathleen.
Again, we did pay a lot for it and we thought we deserved better hospitality. Right after the wedding ended, they kept yelling at people and tried to kick people out, then they just walked to there cars and left in a hurry. We didn't even have time to gather our stuff in the rooms.
This is the house of God, not their houses, and it's their job to take care of us. It just sucked to meet people like them on our wedding day. It's a beautiful church and all but please beware if they got assigned as your coordinators.
Beautiful roses on the side of church. Helping Hands is there to help in the office on that side.
This organization is a true blessing!!! All of the volunteers are nice people. I thank them for their carin, time and patience🙏♥️ …
It's a beautiful place for a special ceremony.
However, there is a witch working there, that won't allow anyone to take picture(s) inside after the mass. She rudely kick all of us out immediately & said: "U guys can take pictures outside".
Just bcuz they have another ceremony after this that's why we can't be inside taking pictures. So we took pictures outside for more than half an hour and the other ceremony haven't even come yet. Is this the kind of ppl represent the house of God. I hope this witch burn in Hell when she dies.
If u think booking this place for your special ceremony. Well, you're NOT gonna have any group pics inside if the witch is still there. Btw, she does looks like a witch.
Nice church and people and everything, but I went there on a friend's word for some help from helping hands. I wasn't aware of them and found out that for one, I got there an hour to late. They closed at 12:30 that day and then was told that they probably wouldn't be helping people any more from them forward, because the grant they had gotten to do so had run out and that was kind of upsetting, only because I live far from there and it took up gas and time that in hind site, I should have used for my doctor's s appointments. It is nice grounds there and lots of parking for weddings, etc......
Our Lady Queen of Angels (OLQA) granted us the Catholic Wedding Ceremony we have always prayed for. We were in search for a church where we could celebrate our wedding anniversary mass. My husband and I were wed on August 28, 2020 in a small Catholic ceremony due to COVID. We were not able to have a traditional Catholic ceremony with a mass. We contacted Father Anthony Vu to ask if we may celebrate our anniversary at OLQA. Typically, wedding anniversary masses are only celebrated for milestone weddings (this is the standard for most parishes). However, Father Vu let us celebrate our first wedding anniversary at OLQA. We had always wanted to celebrate our wedding there and we were able to! Kathleen Immel, the wedding coordinator, was so helpful and helped assure that our ceremony went smoothly and was flawless. Dr. Patricia Lamb, the music director, and our cantor, Elizabeth Jones, brought beautiful music to our ceremony. Dr. Lamb also helped us incorporate a Filipino song we requested to be sung by someone from our wedding party. It was the most beautiful ceremony and everything we prayed God for and more. I love this parish and the people are so friendly and welcoming. We have attended mass here outside of our wedding anniversary and it is a wonderful community. I recommend anyone looking for a church for their wedding to be wed here.
Called parish office, 3:40pm july 20/2023 receptionist answered me, not sure her name, she was so mean with me, hung up the phone, I was just asking for the business manager to set an appointment offering my services, please try to select your employees, suppose to be a Catholic Church, we need kind and peaceful employees and people in this world.
